Visit to Termales
The town of Termales is 35-40 minutes away, walking along the beach from Casa Balae.
There, you can enjoy the natural hot springs, a river where you can take a bath and a small SPA in the middle of the jungle where the community offers different options of relaxing massages and aromatherapy.

Scuba Diving - Scuba Diving Lessons
If you are passionate for the sea and its magic, the Pacific Ocean is the ideal place to explore its abundance and diversity under water.
At Casa Balae you can do scuba diving recreative immersions and take lessons.
With our partner @Altamarbuceo you can do a scuba diving course with a certificated professional in Medellín and get your own certification in Casa Balae.
This way you will learn everything you need so you can explore and enjoy the underwater world.

WHALE WATCHING
Have you seen the humpback whales?
Did you know that lots of them are born in Colombia every year?
This is a millenary tradition of the giants of the sea who come to the Colombian Pacific waters every year around June and July and stay until late October to give birth and raise their calves.
A once in a lifetime opportunity to see them and learn about their ancient behaviors.

SURF - CLASES DE SURF - PADDLE
Nuquí is a surf pearl of the pacific. Walking 10 minutes along the beach from our hotel, you will find one of the best surfing beaches of the Gulf.
In addition, 20-30 minutes walking there are two surf schools (one in Termales and other one in Guachalito) where you can take surf classes with the locals and support their beautiful projects.

TOUR IN “CHINGO” BY THE RIVER
The Colombian Pacific Ocean is bathed by beautiful rivers that flow into the sea, that is why this is one of the most traditional activities in the region, practiced by indigenous and afro people for many generations.
Joví River is located near our hotel. There, you can embark in a “chingo” (which is a native canoe) and go upriver enjoying the jungle’s vegetation birds and other species seen and the wonder of its crystalline water.

VICHE TOUR
Tour to know and taste the ancestral drinks of the region.
You will be able to know the artisan process of elaboration of the different drinks such as viche, curado, vinete, arrechon, among others.
Note: these are fermented beverages, not suitable for minors.

JUNGLE WALK
Leaving from Casa Balae we have several options for hiking in the jungle to reach natural waterfalls. Ask for the different options according to your endurance level.

The Cascada del Amor walk: free of charge, included in your staying.
FISHING
The pacific ocean is very abundant in marine fauna and Casa Balae is located in one of the most visited spots by native fishermen to catch Tuna, Sierra, Dorado, Pargo and Jureles among others.
Come and learn more about this typical activity of the region!
TURTLE RELEASE
At Casa Balae we are interested in activities that promote the conservation of species in the territory; like this natural phenomenon that occurs every year between October and December.
Come and be part of this release process of the olive ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea) and Green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) and witness how they begin a new stage of life.

If you have any allergies, make sure you bring your own medicine.
